Jeane Drury '15, Softball and Women's Basketball
Drury was a dual sport athlete in softball and women's basketball for the Setters. She is fifth all-time in softball program history in hits, collecting 189 during her time in the Blue and Gold. She is tied for second in Pace history in home runs, leaving the park 22 times.  In addition to those marks, Drury also finds herself in the top-10 all time in multiple other statistics including, batting average (.365), doubles (33), RBI (104), stolen bases (33) and runs (114). On the basketball court she appeared in 52 career games, tallying 132 points, 99 rebounds and 46 assists.

As a freshman in 2012, Drury batted .333, belted nine home runs (t-8th in NE10), and slugged .593 (14th in NE10). That year's squad went on to post a 28-20 record as she was named to the NE10 All-Rookie Team, her first of three All-NE10 selections. Drury followed in 2013 as a sophomore with 11 doubles (t-11th in NE10) and stole 14 bases (t-7th in NE10). She also pitched 22 innings with a 3.50 ERA and recorded one save.

Drury earned a spot on the NE10 All-Conference Third Team as a junior in 2014 when she batted .394 (5th in NE10) with 50 hits (t-7th in NE10), six doubles, a team and NE10-best six triples (10th in NCAA DII) and tied for a team-high six home runs (t-9th in NE10). Al Elliott '02, Men's Basketball
Elliott, who was named Pace Male Athlete of the Year in 2002, has his name etched into the history of Pace University Men's Basketball. Elliott is fifth all-time in career points with 1,775 while also ranking 11th in assists with 336 helpers and hauled in 633 rebounds, which is good for 15th all time. He is also tenth in career steals with 166 while also being tied for tenth in career triples made with 163.

During Elliott's freshman year of 1998-99, a year in which the Setters made the NCAA Tournament, he poured in 315 points, averaging 15.0 points per game. That mark is good for tenth in Pace history for most points in a single season by a freshman. He also earned Northeast-10 Freshman of the Year and ECAC Rookie of the Year honors.

As a sophomore in 1999-2000, he ranked fourth in the NE-10 in scoring with 18.3 points per game, 10th in assists at 3.56 per game, and averaged 5.5 rebounds per game to earn All-NE10 Second Team honors.  Prior to his junior season of 2000-01, Elliott was named a Street & Smith Pre-Season All-American. That year he averaged 15.3 points per game, 3.4 assists per game, and 6.5 rebounds per game to earn NE10 All-Conference Third Team honors.

In 2001-02, another year the Setters reached the Big Dance, Elliott led them to a NCAA First Round win and was chosen as one of the top players in the area, averaging more than 19 points, seven rebounds and three assists per contest. He was named All-Metropolitan by the Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association (MBWA) in addition to being a Daktronics All-Region selection, NABC First Team All-District, and D-II Bulletin All-American Honorable Mention. Elliott finished as a three-time All-NE10 selection, earning a spot in 2000, 2001 and 2002. He would go on to a professional playing career of more than 15 years, including time in the BBL in Germany, Turkey, Finland, and China, playing at the highest level in Europe and winning seven championships.

Casey Gelderman '18, Women's Lacrosse
Gelderman was instrumental in establishing an incredibly successful women's lacrosse team at Pace as a member of the first roster in program history in 2015. As a freshman she started all 16 games, recording 36 goals, 40 groundballs and caused 11 turnovers on her way to a spot on the NE10 All-Rookie Team. A year later as a sophomore she netted 62 points en route to a Third Team All-NE10 selection, scoring 53 goals and adding nine assists as the team notched its first 10-win season in just year two.

Gelderman became the first IWLCA All-American in the history of the program, earning the honor in 2017 as a junior. She finished second in the NE10 with 61 goals, dished out four assists, picked up 65 ground balls, caused 22 turnovers, and won 66 draw controls. Her All-American season also featured selections as an ECAC All-Star, First Team All-NE10 selection, and IWLCA First-Team All-Region honors. She was also chosen as the No. 1-rated attack player in all of Division II women's lacrosse by LaxPower in its LaxPower 150: Top Impact Players of the Year. Gelderman scored at least one goal in every game that season, leading the Setters' rapid rise to an 11-6 overall record and a spot in the NE10 Championships.

During her senior season, Gelderman made her way to the IWLCA Senior All-Star Game while being named Second Team All-NE10, IWLCA Second Team All-Region and All-ECAC First Team. At the time, she tied the program record with nine points in a game against Franklin Pierce on April 28 with seven goals and two assists. She finished the season with 88 points on 68 goals and 16 assists to go along with 105 draw controls, 41 ground balls and 17 caused turnovers, leading the team to a 14-5 record and advancing to the NE10 Championship Semifinals. Gelderman finished her illustrious career as the program record holder with 218 career goals, a mark that still stands today, and 252 career points, which is currently second all-time.

Brian Pirone '96, Football
Pirone is one of the most accomplished defensive players in Pace football history. He is the only three-year captain to wear the Blue and Gold and was a two-time Pace Homecoming MVP. During his career he got to the quarterback for 18.5 sacks, which is good for fourth in program history, and he recorded 412 career tackles, which ranks second all-time. Pirone holds the record for most tackles in a single game, recording 28 against Mercyhurst on November 6, 1993, while earning ECAC Rookie and Defensive Player of the Week. That season he would register 139 tackles, the fourth-most in a single season, and earned a spot on the ECAC weekly honor roll four times, before being selected ECAC Second Team All-Conference. Pirone was also named to the Don Hansen Gazette Division II Non-Scholarship All-American Second Team.

He is the owner of the record for most tackles in a 10-game season with 142 tackles during the 1994 season. That mark is also the second most in a single season regardless of length. Pirone garnered recognition on the ECAC Honor Roll three more times that season, along with an ECAC Defensive Player of the Week selection, on his way to All-ECAC First Team accolades in 1994 and was also chosen for the Don Hansen Gazette All-American Second Team for a second straight year.

In 1995, Pirone spearheaded a Pace run defense that ranked eighth nationally, allowing just 83 yards per game until an injury cut his season short. He was still named to the All-ECAC Second Team and Don Hansen Gazette Division II Non-Scholarship All-American Honorable Mention for his outstanding play. Pirone bounced back in 1996 by leading the defense to the fewest points scored in a 10-game season (131) and ranked fourth in run defense, giving up only 68 yards per game. This time he earned ECAC weekly honor roll recognition four times, another ECAC Defensive Player of the Week, and a spot on the All-ECAC and Don Hansen Gazette All-American First Teams. Pirone's tough and formidable presence personified what would become the identity of Pace football into the late 1990s.

Claudia Stabile, Head Softball Coach
Drury's coach, Claudia Stabile, has been the only Pace softball coach during Pace's Division II era, and is the longest-tenured active head coach across all NCAA Divisions. Stabile has earned over 800 career victories in her 43 seasons at the helm of the program, with her 800th coming last year in a 5-2 victory over St. Thomas Aquinas College on April 13. Stabile has had the Setters finish at .500 or above 24 times, including numerous trips to the Northeast 10 championships, and the NCAA East Regional.

While Stabile's career has seen sustained success for more than four decades, she has put together arguably her best stretch in the most recent years. Over the last full nine seasons, Stabile has led the Blue and Gold to five NCAA Tournament bids, the program's first-ever Northeast-10 Conference Championship in 2016, and more than 200 wins.

Stabile has this year's softball squad enjoying one of its most successful campaigns in program history, currently at 30-11 overall, just three shy of the program record for wins with four games left in the regular season, and in the hunt for one of the top spots in the NE10 playoffs. Her 2002 team set the bar with a 33-17 record and the 2003 team followed up with a 33-18 season.

Stabile has coached 74 All-Conference players (53 NE-10, 9 NYCAC, 12 Hudson Valley) as well as two All-Americans, five Academic All-District selections and 27 All-Region honorees. She guided her teams to back-to-back Hudson Valley Conference Titles in 1987 and 1988, and an Empire State Conference title in 1989. The Setters advanced to the ECAC Division II championships in 1987, 1988, 1989 and won the title in 2002.

Stabile has also made an impact on countless Setter student-athletes off the field of competition in her role as Associate Athletic Director for Student Success and Services, and Senior Woman Administrator. Stabile has assisted many Setter student-athletes in navigating the ever-growing challenges with being a student-athlete and balancing both their on the field performance with finding just as much success in the classroom. With Stabile at the helm, Pace has consistently been well represented on all academic awards at both the NE10 level, and also the national level.
