Pace Athletics Honors 2025 Hall of Fame Class at Annual Induction Brunch

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – On Sunday morning, Pace University Athletics proudly celebrated its storied tradition of excellence, as five new inductees were enshrined into the Pace Athletics Hall of Fame during the 2025 Hall of Fame Brunch and Awards Ceremony, held inside Gottesman Hall on the Pleasantville campus.

Hosted before a packed crowd of alumni, family, and friends, the afternoon honored standout student-athletes and contributors whose impact has helped shape the proud history of Setter Athletics. Director of Athletics Mark Brown opened the ceremony with welcoming remarks, followed by Tim McCaffery, who served as emcee and guided the celebration.

The 2025 Hall of Fame Class featured five remarkable inductees: Jhalen Bien-Aime (Football, '19), Liam Brennan (Men's Lacrosse, '18), Jocelyne Greco (Women's Soccer, '07), Annabel Keppel-Palmer (Women's Swimming & Diving, '22), and Peyton Wejnert (Men's Basketball, '20). Each honoree was introduced with a tribute video before taking the stage to share reflections on their time wearing blue and gold.

Before introducing this year's class, Pace took time to honor one of its own for a new milestone of achievement. Dr. Marcus Mayus, a 2000 graduate and 2012 Hall of Fame inductee, was recognized for his recent induction into the Northeast 10 Conference Hall of Fame. One of the most decorated players in program history, Mayus was named NE10 Player of the Year, ECAC Player of the Year, and USILA Midfielder of the Year during his historic career, helping the Setters capture both conference regular season and tournament championships.

Following a brunch intermission, the ceremony resumed with the presentation of the distinguished Peter X. Finnerty Leadership Award, a recognition bestowed upon members of the Pace community who exemplify integrity, service, and leadership, values long associated with the University's founding Director of Athletics, Peter Finnerty.

This year's recipients, Jerry McAuliffe and Brenda MacAdam McAuliffe, were honored for their decades of leadership, philanthropy, and commitment to the University. Jerry, a former football student-athlete, and Brenda, a longtime partner at Ernst & Young, have made extraordinary contributions through scholarship funding, alumni engagement, and mentorship.

The pair established the Brenda and Jerry McAuliffe Endowed Scholarship, which supports accounting students who are also Pace student-athletes, and have continued to serve as champions for Setter Athletics through the President's Council and Athletics Alumni Board. Their generosity and passion continue to strengthen the Setter community year after year.

The 2025 Hall of Fame inductees represented a wide span of programs and eras, each leaving a defining legacy on and off the field:
  • Jhalen Bien-Aime (Football, '19): A two-time All-NE10 selection and the program's all-time leader in rushing touchdowns upon graduation, Bien-Aime helped revitalize Pace Football during his standout career.
  • Liam Brennan (Men's Lacrosse, '18): One of the most prolific offensive players in program history, Brennan earned multiple All-NE10 and All-America honors, leading the Setters to national recognition.
  • Jocelyne Greco (Women's Soccer, '07): A reliable and commanding defender, Greco Durando was known for her leadership, consistency, and contributions to one of the strongest eras in Pace Women's Soccer history.
  • Annabel Keppel-Palmer (Women's Swimming & Diving, '22): A record-setting swimmer and multiple NE10 medalist, Keppel-Palmer became one of the most decorated athletes in the history of the Pace swimming program.
  • Peyton Wejnert (Men's Basketball, '20): A dominant scorer and two-time All-Region selection, Wejnert finished his career with over 1,700 points and helped elevate Pace Men's Basketball back into championship contention.
The event concluded with McCaffery's closing remarks, offering congratulations to the newest inductees and heartfelt thanks to all alumni, coaches, and guests in attendance. As the crowd gathered for group photos of current and past Hall of Fame members, the afternoon served as a powerful reminder of Pace's enduring commitment to excellence, integrity, and opportunity.

The 2025 Hall of Fame Brunch not only celebrated extraordinary athletic achievement but also the shared bond of the Setter family, a tradition that continues to inspire generations of Pace student-athletes.
