PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. -- The Pace University field hockey team will look to get back on track this week with a pair of games, opening the week tomorrow at St. Thomas Aquinas College and than heading up to Worcester for a matchup with Assumption University on Saturday.
Pace sits at an even 4-4 on the year following a 0-2 week, falling to Adelphi University and Saint Anselm College.
So far this year, the Setters are led by
Krista Dietz, who has been an offensive force once again this year, scoring seven goals and assisting on five more goals for a team-high 19 points. Her 2.29 points per game in eighth in the nation.
Tavia Flecksteiner has contributed six goals this year whileÂ
Noëlle Meij has scored sic goals and assisted on four others.
This is the second meeting this year between Pace and STAC, with the two teams facing off at Peter X. Finnerty Field to open the 2023 season and Pace took home the win, 2-0.
Since that game, STACÂ is still on the hunt for its first win of the season, most recently suffering a 2-1 setback to American International College.Â
Assumption enters the week with the same mark as the Setters, 4-4, and will face off with the Chargers of New Haven University on Wednesday before welcoming the Setters to Worcester. The Grey Hounds are currently in the midst of a three-game after taking down Molloy College, Southern Connecticut State and Mercy College without conceding a single goal in this stretch.
