PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Sophomore attack
Daniel Zabbia (Dix Hills, N.Y./Half Hollow Hills West) of the Pace University men's lacrosse team has been added to the Tewaaraton Watch List as a result of the impressive start to his second year.
The Tewaaraton Award annually honors the top male and female college lacrosse player in the United States. The selection committees are comprised of premier college coaches and are appointed annually by the Tewaaraton Foundation. The lists include the top players across all three divisions of NCAA lacrosse and highlight the early contenders for this year's award.
So far this season, Zabbia has been a key part of the Setters' offense, leading the team with 29 goals and 33 points. He's also collected 80 shots, four man-up goals, 13 ground balls and six caused turnovers. The sophomore currently ranks second in the NE10 in goals and third in points.
Zabbia's play has helped the team to a 6-1 start on the year as Pace has moved up to the No. 10 ranked team in the nation. The Setters return to action Saturday, April 1, when they continue NE10 play with a 4 p.m. road matchup at Southern New Hampshire University.
