FARMINGDALE, N.Y. – Seeing their first action of the 2022 season, the Pace University cross country teams competed in the Adelphi Panthers Invitational on Friday. 
 
Women's Recap (13th place, 311 points)
Sophomore 
Meryl Mizell (Round Rock, Texas/Stony Point) led the way for Pace with a 49th-place finish in the 5K. The Texas native raced to a time of 25:08.90. 
 
Graduate student 
Molly Darfler-Sweeney (Tannersville, N.Y./Hunter-Tannersville) followed with a 52
nd-place effort in a time of 25:24.30 while 
Jordan Etheridge (New Rochelle, N.Y./New Rochelle) posted a mark of 31:46.60 to finish in 77
th place.          
            
Emma Voykhanskaya (Brooklyn, N.Y./Edward R. Murrow) and 
Rhylie Dietrich (Riverview, Fla./Riverview) served as Pace's final two scorers, finishing in 79
th and 90
th place respectively. Voykhanskaya registered a time of 32:18.10 while Dietrich recorded a mark of 36:23.40.
 
Samira Bowa also finished the 5K for the Setters in a time of 36:37.60.
Men's Recap (14th place, 386 Points)
Junior 
CJ Defeo (East Patchogue, N.Y./Patchogue Medford) piloted the Blue and Gold with a 67th-place finish in the 8K race. The team captain crossed the finish line in 31:50.70, which was about four minutes faster than his time at last year's Adelphi Invite.
 
Freshman 
Francesco DiBona (Eastchester, N.Y./Eastchester) served as Pace's next finisher with a 106
th-place effort in a time of 36:37.60. 
 
CJ Lugo followed DiBona with a 117-place showing in a time of 40:04.70 while 
Ryan Murphy (Hawthorne, N.Y./Westlake) came in at 46:06.10 to finish in 131
st.
 
Nicholas Becker (Lynbrook, N.Y./East Rockaway) was right behind Murphy in 132
nd place with a time of 31:46.60 while 
Reice Jansson () also finished the race with a time 55:50.50.
