PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – In recognition of a sensational 2022 campaign, the Pace University softball team has been selected to compete in the NCAA Division II Softball Championship. It is the fourth time since 2015 that the Setters have earned a bid into the prestigious 64-team field.
Pace has been awarded the No. 8 seed in the East Regional following a 27-19 regular season. The Setters will take on the top-seed and hosts of the regional, Adelphi, on Thursday.
The Blue and Gold last made the NCAA East Regional in 2018 as the No. 6 seed. Pace dropped a pair of one-run contests to Southern New Hampshire University and Merrimack.
Head Coach
Claudia Stabile, now in her 41
st season at Pace, also led the Setters to NCAA Tournament bids in 2015 and 2016.
Always familiar foes, Pace and Adelphi split a doubleheader on April 23 in their only meetings this season.
