SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Facing one of their toughest foes of the year on the road, the ninth-ranked Pace University men's lacrosse team dropped a 14-6 contest at No. 2 Le Moyne on Tuesday. The loss is the Setters' first of the season as their record moves to 6-1 (2-1, NE10).

Holding a 6-3 lead at halftime, Le Moyne's 5-0 run in the third quarter proved to be the ultimate difference.

The Blue and Gold's six tallies came from five different players. Senior
Jake Veres (Robbinsville, N.J./Robbinsville) led the way with two goals, while
Kyle Casey (Yorktown Heights, N.Y./Yorktown),
Anthony Caputo (Westbury, N.Y./W.T Clarke),
Rafael Rodriguez, Jr. (Farmingville, N.Y./Sachem East), and
Maxwell Streety (Orchard Park, N.Y./Orchard Park) also found the back of the net.

Casey dished out the Setters' lone assist on their final goal of the game in the fourth quarter.

Senior goalkeeper
Louis Ragusa (Yorktown Heights, N.Y./Yorktown) did his best to keep Pace in contention. The Yorktown Heights native piled up a season-high 12 saves in a complete-game effort. He also caused a turnover and grabbed three ground balls.

On the other side, Le Moyne keeper, Frank Delia, posted eight saves in the win.

The Dolphins' success at the faceoff X loomed large. The home team won 19-of-24 at midfield to seize control of the majority of offensive chances.
