No. 10 Men's Lacrosse Earns Road Win at Saint Michael's, 13-8

Colchester, Vt. – Propelled by a strong second half, the 10th-ranked Pace University men's lacrosse team tallied a 13-8 win over Saint Michael's College on Saturday. The road triumph puts the Setters' record at 5-0 this season, including 1-0 inside the Northeast-10 Conference.

Leading by just one goal at the break, Pace outscored the Purple Knights by a 6-2 margin over the final 30 minutes.

Senior Louis Ragusa (Yorktown Heights, N.Y./Yorktown) was once again stout in net, making 12 stops in a complete-game effort. Five of Ragusa's saves came in the fourth quarter.

In addition to solid goalkeeping, Pace's defense totaled 13 caused turnovers while earning a 45-30 edge in ground balls.

On the other side, it was a trio of Setters filling up the stat sheet. Tim Cairo (Shoreham, N.Y./Shoreham-Wading River) finished the game with three goals and an assist while Anthony Caputo (Westbury, N.Y./W.T Clarke) and Rafael Rodriguez, Jr. (Farmingville, N.Y./Sachem East) each registered five points on three goals and two helpers.

Graduate student Kyle Casey (Yorktown Heights, N.Y./Yorktown) also registered multiple points off a pair of goals.

Assisting in the offense was a 10-for-13 effort in face-offs from sophomore Maxwell Streety (Orchard Park, N.Y./Orchard Park). He nabbed a team-high eight ground balls in the process.
