PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – The 10th-ranked Pace University men's lacrosse team concluded the non-conference portion of the season with another dominant win, 20-4, at Georgian Court University on Wednesday to improve to 4-0.

The Setters now enter the heart of their season, 10 straight NE10 contests, having outscored their first four opponents by a resounding 56 goals.

Pace jumped out to a 9-0 lead in the first quarter, and never looked back, scoring at least three in every subsequent stanza, buoyed by 12 different Setter goal-scorers.

Senior
Jake Veres (Robbinsville, N.J./Robbinsville) scored four goals to lead the team and bring his season total to 13.

Junior
Marcus Ottaviano (Ontario, Canada/Nichols School) recorded a hat trick to tie his single-game career high, while senior
Tim Cairo (Shoreham, N.Y./Shoreham-Wading River) scored twice to make him one of Pace's three double-digit scorers to this point.

But it was yet another standout and this time varied performance from graduate student
Kyle Casey (Yorktown Heights, N.Y./Yorktown) that was the difference.

The Yorktown Height-native came into the game as the team's primary scorer, but on this afternoon, Casey saw fit to distribute, and he did so magnificently for team-highs of five assists, and eight points when you factor in his three goals.

Casey now leads the team in 2022 with 17 goals, 10 assists, and 27 points.

Goalkeeper
Louis Ragusa (Yorktown Heights, N.Y./Yorktown) was awarded the win for his stout three-save, 36.5 minute performance in net, conceding only three goals in the process.
