No. 11 Men's Lacrosse Takes Down Wilmington, 15-4

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – The Pace University men's lacrosse team picked up its third straight convincing victory to start the 2022 season with a 15-4 home win against Wilmington University on Friday afternoon.

The Setters have outscored their opponents 57-17 thus far this season.

Graduate student Kyle Casey (Yorktown Heights, N.Y./Yorktown), who tallied four goals and one assist in each of the team's two previous outings, went off for career-highs of six goals and three assists against the Wildcats.

"Going into this game, we wanted to run our offense smoothly which meant moving the ball," said Casey. "When we get the doubles, just move it to the next guy, keep swinging it around, and it just happened that I was in the right place at the right time."

The 6'4'' Yorktown Heights-native, who transferred to Pace this year, leads the team on the season with 14 goals and 19 points, both top-four marks in the NE10.

"Coming to Pace, it's honestly been amazing," said Casey. "These guys took me in pretty easily, they've brought me in as one of their own. We have a great group of guys, and everyone's buying in too, which is good heading into the remainder of the season."

Not to be outdone, senior Tim Cairo (Shoreham, N.Y./Shoreham-Wading River) also had a career-game, scoring five goals in addition to one assist for six points.

Junior Anthony Caputo (Westbury, N.Y./W.T Clarke) chipped in one goal to go along with his team-high three assists.

Caputo has led the team in assists every game this season, and his eight total dishes ranks second in the conference.

Senior goalkeeper Louis Ragusa (Yorktown Heights, N.Y./Yorktown) earned his third win of the season for his complete-game, 12-save performance in net. Ragusa has the best save-percentage in the NE10 at 71.4%.
