No. 10 Men's Lacrosse Falls to Seventh-Ranked Adelphi, 10-5

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – In a rematch from a dramatic overtime contest earlier this season, the 10th-ranked Pace University men's lacrosse team dropped a 10-5 contest to No. 7 Adelphi on Wednesday afternoon.

In a matchup that stayed close throughout, it was a game-ending 4-1 spurt from the Panthers that proved to be the difference.

Both goalies put together great efforts in net on Wednesday, combining for 27 saves in the contest. Pace's Louis Ragusa (Yorktown Heights, N.Y./Yorktown) finished the 60 minutes with 15 stops. The Setters' defense also tallied 15 caused turnovers.

The Blue and Gold offense was led by three points each from Jake Veres (Robbinsville, N.J./Robbinsville) and Alan Singleton (Pierrefonds, Quebec/Pierrefonds Comprehensive)—both of which registered two goals and an assist.

Sophomore Aidan Egazarian (Blauvelt, N.Y./Tappan Zee) served as Pace's other goal-scorer, while Blake Balcaen (Webster, N.Y./Webster Schroeder) chipped in an assist.

Graduate student Dan Lewis posted season-highs in both caused turnovers (5) and ground balls (4).
