PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. - Following successful semesters in both the classroom and athletic competition, five Pace University student-athletes have been named to Northeast-10 Conference Academic All-Conference Teams for the winter season.
The Setters have three members from the swimming and diving teams and one from each basketball squad.
Filip Turecky (State College, Pa./State College Area) represents the men's swimming and diving team while
Jana Ciric (Nis, Serbia/Gimnazija "Svetozar Markovic") and
Leigha Kosakowski (Selkirk, N.Y./Bethlehem Central) were named Academic All-Conference on the women's side. Meanwhile,
Jackie DelliSanti (Commack, N.Y./Commack) represents the women's hoops team and
Peyton Wejnert (Point Pleasant, N.J./Southern Regional) earned recognition for the men's team.
Wejnert, who led the Setters to one of their best seasons in recent memory, averaged a conference best 23.5 points per game during his senior campaign. The New Jersey native also ranked third in the NE10 in rebounding, grabbing 9.2 boards per contest. Academically, Wejnert holds a 3.89 GPA as a finance major. Earlier this semester, he was named CoSIDA's
Academic All-America of the Year.
DelliSanti led the women in scoring this season and ranked fifth in the conference with 16.8 points per game. She registered 12 double-doubles this season and scored 10 or more points in 28 out of 29 games played, while also eclipsing 1,000 career points and 500 rebounds. Academically, she sports a 3.66 GPA as a history and adolescent education major and has earned recognition on the NE10 Academic Honor Roll following all seven semesters at Pace.
Ciric of the swim team earned bronze medals at this year's NE10 Championships in both the 200-free (1:53.56) and 100-free (52.20) and was also part of the Setters' bronze medal finish in the 200-medley relay at NE10's. Academically, she holds an outstanding 3.99 GPA as a computer science major and has earned recognition on the NE10 Academic Honor Roll following all seven semesters at Pace. She also earned last year's NE10 Sport Excellence Award.

Leigha Kosakowski (Selkirk, N.Y./Bethlehem Central), holds an impressive 3.96 GPA as a Applied Psychology & Human Relations major and has earned recognition on the NE10 Academic Honor Roll in all seven semesters at Pace. She finished fifth at the 2020 NE10 Championships in the 50-free with a time of 24.1. She also placed sixth at NE10's in the 100-breast with a time of 1:08.89 and earned a bronze medal as a member of the Setters' 400-free and 200-medley relays.
On the men's side for Pace swimming and diving,
Filip Turecky (State College, Pa./State College Area) earned the Elite 24 Award at the NE10 Championships for the highest individual GPA of 3.89. He also won a pair of NE10 Championships in the 200-back (1:52.03) and the 100-back (51.59) while placing ninth in the 50-free. Turecky is an Applied Psychology & Human Relations major and has made the NE10 Academic Honor Roll in all seven semesters at Pace.
