No. 6 Pace Men's Lacrosse Defeated at Top-Ranked Adelphi, 13-9

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – The sixth-ranked Pace University men's lacrosse team was defeated at No. 1 Adelphi on Wednesday night by a score of 13-9. The loss moves the Setters to 6-1 this season with a 2-1 mark inside the NE10.

A 7-1 opening stretch of the game, along with an 8-3 first half, provided Adelphi enough cushion to hold on to victory. Pace outscored the Panthers, 6-5, over the final 30 minutes of the contest.

The Setters scored the only goal of the fourth quarter as a Bradley Paterson (Caldwell, NJ/Depaul Catholic) tally at the 11:23 mark cut the final deficit to 13-9.

Seniors Wyatt Barfoot (Georgian Bluffs, Ontario/St. Mary's) and Daniel Keenan (Mount Sinai, NY/Mount Sinai) each posted career-highs offensively on Wednesday night. Barfoot put in a team-best four goals, while Keenan dished out five assists.

Classmate Bradley Paterson (Caldwell, NJ/Depaul Catholic) also notched multiple points, finishing the night with two goals and an assist.

Connor Vercruysse (Yorktown Heights, NY/Yorktown), Joseph Diggle (West Islip, NY/West Islip) and Bruno Surace (Wantagh, NY/Wantagh) rounded out the Setters' goal-scorers, while Daniel Lewis (Bohemia, NY/Connetquot) led Pace with six ground balls.

Freshman Louis Ragusa (Yorktown Heights, NY/Yorktown) tallied 12 stops in net, marking the sixth time this season that he has registered double-figure saves in a game.
