No. 6 Men's Lacrosse Moves to 6-0 With Win Over Saint Michael's

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Continuing their best start to a season in 20 years, the No. 6 Pace University men's lacrosse team protected their perfect record on Saturday afternoon, defeating Saint Michael's 13-8. The win moves Pace's record to 6-0 overall and 2-0 against the Northeast-10 Conference.

An 8-3 goal advantage in the second half of the contest led the Blue and Gold to the win. Tied 5-5 at the half, the Setters rattled off four straight goals to open up the third quarter to give Pace a lead that they would never look back from.

Once again, it was Daniel Keenan (Mount Sinai, NY/Mount Sinai) putting on a show on attack, scoring four goals and adding an assist. Pace's leading scorer on the season with 27 points, Keenan has now recorded a hat trick in five of the Setters' six games this year. Connor Vercruysse (Yorktown Heights, NY/Yorktown) was also heavily involved offensively with three goals of his own and an assist.

Bradley Paterson (Caldwell, NJ/Depaul Catholic) had a four-point day, including three assists. Pace's leading scorer a season ago, Paterson now leads the Blue and Gold with 11 helpers on the year. Wyatt Barfoot (Georgian Bluffs, Ontario/St. Mary's) and Vincent Vasheo (Wantagh, NY/Wantagh) rounded out the top attackers with a pair of three-point games.

Louis Ragusa (Yorktown Heights, NY/Yorktown) was once again solid in net. The reigning NE10 Rookie and Goalkeeper of the Week made 12 saves over a full 60 minutes and allowed just one goal in the final quarter to preserve the win. Ragusa now sits at 6-0 to begin his career, sporting a .676 save percentage and a 6.58 goals-against average.
