Hooksett, N.H. – Seeing their first NE10 action of the season, the eighth-ranked Pace University men's lacrosse team earned a 13-4 win at Southern New Hampshire on Saturday. The victory shifts the Setters' record to 5-0, marking their best start to a season since 1999.
Pace's defense dominated the day, allowing just one goal over the final 41:48 of regulation. With the score tied at 3-3 early in the second quarter, the Setters put together a game-ending 10-1 stretch.
Freshman
Louis Ragusa (Yorktown Heights, NY/Yorktown) continued his stellar rookie season with a season-best 17 saves in net. He finished the day with an .850 save percentage after allowing just three goals in nearly 58 minutes of work.
Offensively, senior
Daniel Keenan (Mount Sinai, NY/Mount Sinai) led Pace with three goals while
Bradley Paterson (Caldwell, NJ/Depaul Catholic) notched a team-high five points on three assists and a pair of tallies.
Other top performers included
Connor Vercruysse (Yorktown Heights, NY/Yorktown) and
Wyatt Barfoot (Georgian Bluffs, Ontario/St. Mary's), who each chipped in two goals, and
Joseph Diggle (West Islip, NY/West Islip), who added a goal and two assists. Vercruysse also nabbed a team-high four ground balls.
The Setters had eight different goal-scorers in the contest, and nine different players record at least one point.

The Setters will return home next Saturday afternoon to host Saint Michael's College at noon.
