EASTON, Pa. – The Pace University men's and women's cross country teams wrapped up the regular season on Saturday at Lafayette College's Leopard Invitational. The Setters placed fifth on the men's side, while the women finished sixth.
Men's Results
The Setters had six runners cross the finish line, led by freshman
Killian McCole (Staten Island, NY/Monsignor Farrell) with a 30th-place effort (28:01.96). Classmate
Izzeldeen Farraj (Staten Island, NY/CSIHS/McCown) followed with a 42
nd-place effort, posting a time of 28:37.68.
The trio of
Ricky Harris (West Harrison, NY/Harrison),
Benjamin Dengler (South Kortright, NY/South Kortright Central) and
Mitchell Lawrence (Poughquag, NY/Arlington) placed back-to-back-to-back with times spanning just 15 seconds of each other. Harris led the way with a mark of 29:53.33, while Dengler and Lawrence recorded respective times of 30:02.22 and 30:07.84. Freshman
Ryan Oakes (Scarsdale, NY/Eastchester) was the Setters' final finisher with time of 31:55.09.
Women's Results
It was also a freshman on the women's side that led the way for Pace.
Rachael Daniels (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) led the Setters' attack with a 56
th-place finish in 27:25.58.
The Blue and Gold's other seven finishers all placed with seven slots of each other. Freshman
Crystal Raines (Roosevelt, NJ/Hightstown) led the contingent with a time of 29:33.21, while classmate
Jessica Uben (Ridgefield Park, NJ/Ridgefield Park) and junior
Julia Presta (North Massapequa, NY/Farmingdale) registered respective marks of 29:44.14 and 29:51.67. Junior
Shea Cody (Shrewsbury, NJ/Red Bank Regional) was next, finishing in 31:47.53, while
Ashley De La Cruz (Yonkers, NY/Maria Regina) clocked in at 33:44.16
Freshman
Ayanna Armstrong (Mount Vernon, NY/Mount Vernon) and junior
Christina Jeroloman (Monroe, NY/Washingtonville) served as Pace's final two placers, posting subsequent times of 35:28.68 and 35:29.06.

The Setters will have two weekends off before competing in the 2018 Northeast-10 Conference Championships on Nov. 4.
