PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – With heavy rain falling throughout the evening, the No. 6/7 Pace University men's lacrosse team rode a wave of momentum in the second half to get past No. 20 Bentley University by a score of 13-6 in Wednesday's soggy Northeast-10 Conference matchup at Pace Stadium.
 
FIRST QUARTER
- Sophomore 
Kevin Vogelsberg (Wantagh, NY/Holy Trinity Diocesan) scored on an extra-man opportunity off a feed from sophomore 
Wyatt Barfoot (Georgian Bluffs, Ontario/St. Mary's) 88 seconds into the game to put Pace ahead, 1-0.
- Bentley's Matt Sanford then evened the score at 1-1 at the 11:50 mark.
- Sam Hurley put the Falcons in the lead with his score with 7:23 left in the first quarter.
- Scott Carvalho scored Bentley's third in a row with 2:05 left in the first to put them ahead, 3-1.
- Sophomore 
Matthew Simone (Seaford, NY/Seaford) then got Pace back on the board with a man-down goal to make it a 3-2 game.
 
SECOND QUARTER
- Junior 
Joshua Kreitler (Shelton, CT/Shelton) tied the game up at the 7:15 mark off a dish from sophomore Brad Paterson.
- Kreitler scored again with 2:36 left in the half, once again off an assist from Paterson, to give Pace a 4-3 advantage.
 
THIRD QUARTER
- Kreitler connected once more off a pass from Paterson at the 12:15 mark of the third quarter to put the Setters ahead by two.
- Matt Brooks scored for Bentley 32 seconds later to make it a one-goal game once again.
- Brennan got on the board, followed by a score for junior 
Ryan O'Hagan (Watervliet, NY/Christian Brothers Academy) to put Pace ahead, 7-4.
- Elijah Morrissey got the Falcons back within two at the 6:06 mark of the third.
- O'Hagan scored once again at the 1:45 mark to put Pace back up by three.
- Kreitler added his fourth of the evening with just 39.6 on the clock to make it a 9-5 game.
 
FOURTH QUARTER
- Paterson opened the fourth with a man-up goal just 27 seconds in to give Pace a 10-5 lead.
- Freshman 
Spencer DeRosa (Huntington Station, NY/Walt Whitman) then scored his first career goal to put the Setters ahead by six.
- Paterson netted a man-up goal just 35 seconds later to make it a seven-goal game.
- Junior 
Michael Pappalardo (Ossining, NY/Ossining) made it six in a row for Pace, scoring with 8:15 left in regulation to put the Setters ahead, 13-5.
- Chris Wiggins ended Pace's run and got Bentley back within seven with 7:19 left in the final frame.

Goalkeeper Notes
- Junior goalkeeper 
Robert Beshlian (Wantagh, NY/Wantagh) stopped six shots to pick up his ninth win of the season. He also scooped up a team-high five ground balls.
 
SETTER STATS
- Paterson finished with five points on three assists and a pair of goals. He also caused a turnover.
- Kreitler scored four times in the win.
- Brennan totaled three points on a goal and two assists.
- O'Hagan netted a pair, while Barfoot assisted two goals.
- Pappalardo scored once and dished out an assists for two points.
- Senior 
Brandon Donnellan (Chester, NY/Warwick Valley) caused four turnovers and picked up four ground balls.
 
FALCON LEADERS
- All six of Bentley's goals were scored by different student-athletes Wednesday evening.
- Max Adler picked up a game-high 11 ground balls.
