PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – The No. 8 Pace University men's lacrosse team stretched its winning streak to three games on Saturday, as the Setters took down the College of Saint Rose by a score of 15-5 Saturday afternoon in Northeast-10 Conference action at Pace Stadium.
FIRST QUARTER
- Sophomore
Bradley Paterson (Caldwell, NJ/Depaul Catholic) opened the scoring just 65 seconds into the game to quickly put the Setters ahead, 1-0.
- Junior
Liam Brennan (Huntington Station, NY/Walt Whitman) followed at the 7:24 mark to give Pace a 2-0 lead.
- Connor Moore got the Golden Knights on the board, but sophomore
Wyatt Barfoot (Georgian Bluffs, Ontario/St. Mary's) responded at 2:36 to make it a 3-1 game.
- Paterson added his second of the game with 1:38 to go in the first quarter to put Pace on top, 4-1.
SECOND QUARTER
- Junior
Joshua Kreitler (Shelton, CT/Shelton) scored off a feed from Paterson just a couple minutes into the second period to put Pace ahead by four.
- Paterson scored for the third time, this time a man-up goal at the 11:10 mark, to put the Setters up, 6-1.
- Junior
Ryan O'Hagan (Watervliet, NY/Christian Brothers Academy) then fired one in at the 8:55 mark to make it a six-goal game.
- On the extra-man opportunity in the final minutes of the half, sophomore
Daniel Keenan (Mount Sinai, NY/Mount Sinai) deflected a pass from Barfoot past the keeper to send Pace to the locker room with an 8-1 advantage.
THIRD QUARTER
- Barfoot got things going in the second half with a goal just two minutes in to make it an eight-goal lead for Pace.
- Brennan tallied his second of the day at the nine-minute mark to put Pace ahead, 10-1.
- Carter Badour scored Saint Rose's first goal since the first quarter at the 8:31 mark to get the Golden Knights back within eight.
- Kreitler added another goal just a minute later to give the Setters another nine-goal edge.
- Saint Rose got one back when Evan Doherty scored with 5:46 left in the period to make it an 11-3 game.
- Pace pushed the lead back to nine when a turnover led to Paterson's fourth netter of the game.
- Moore scored his second of the day with 2:53 left in the third to make it 12-4.
FOURTH QUARTER
- Keenan got on the board once again at the 10:36 mark to push Pace's lead back to nine.
- Sophomore
Peter Bashar (Stratford, CT/St. Joseph) then scored 16 seconds later to make it a 10-goal game.
- Matt Graham scored a man-up goal for Saint Rose to make it 14-5 with 6:26 to play in regulation.
- Senior
Robert Maddia (East Northport, NY/John H. Glenn) scored at the 5:14 mark off a feed from senior
James Vitale (Port Jefferson Station, NY/St. John the Baptist) to make it a 10-goal game once again.

Goalkeeper Notes
- Junior goalkeeper
Robert Beshlian (Wantagh, NY/Wantagh) stopped 13 shots and allowed just five goals to pick up his eighth win of the year.
SETTER STATS
- Paterson led all scorers with six points on four goals and two assists. He also picked up three ground balls.
- Brennan totaled five points on three assists and two goals in the win, and added two ground balls.
- Barfoot scored twice and dished out two assists for a four-point day.
- Keenan put two in the net and added another goal for a three-point game.
- Senior
Brandon Donnellan (Chester, NY/Warwick Valley) had an excellent defensive game, picking up a game-high eight ground balls and causing four turnovers.
GOLDEN KNIGHT LEADERS
- Moore led Saint Rose with two goals, while Badour totaled two points on a goal and an assist.
- Jeremy Pariseau led the team with six ground balls and two caused turnovers.
HOW'D THEY STACK UP
- The Setters outshot the Golden Knights, 42-35, including a 25-18 shot-on-goal differential.
- Saint Rose won the groundball battle, 37-32.
- The Setters scored on 3-of-5 extra-man opportunities, while Saint Rose converted on 1-of-3.
