Box Score MANCHESTER, NH- The Setters came up short in the Northeast-10 Championship Semifinals as they fell to the top seed Southern New Hampshire Penmen 8-3. Pace falls to 25-15, while the Penmen improve to 30-6 and advance to Saturday's championship game.

The Setters loaded the bases in the opening inning and had runners on first and second in the next inning but were unable to come up with a key hit. The Penmen got the board with a pair of runs in the second and added three more in the third to take a 5-0 lead.

Pace a run back in the fifth as
Shelby Yung drew a leadoff walk, while
Larissa Labs reached on an infield single.
Nikole Larm singled up the middle and Yung came around to score the first Setters run of the game.

The Penmen added three runs in their half of the sixth to lead 8-1. The Setters added two runs in the seventh on a sacrifice fly by
Hana Wright and a RBI groundout by
Haley Hernandez. Pace fell short of tying the game as the Penmen advanced to the championships game on Saturday.

Natalie Gellos went 2-for-3 for the Setters, while Larm went 2-for-4 with an RBI.
Kaitlynn Nelson took the loss, going two innings, allowing four runs on six hits to fall to 8-7.
Caitlin McCann tossed the final four innings, allowing four runs on six hits, while striking out two. Â

The Setters, ranked #8 this week's NCAA East Region poll, will await a possible at-large bid to the NCAA Division II Tournament. The selection show will be held on Monday at 10 am and will be streaming live on ncaa.com.
