Box Score SETTERS FALL TO BENTLEY 8-0
IN NE-10 ACTION
WALTHAM, Mass.-The Setters offense was limited to two hits on
the day as Pace fell to Bentley University 8-0 in Northeast-10
Conference action. The scheduled doubleheader was limited to one
game and will be made up at a later date. The Setters fall to 5-14
overall and 1-6 in the NE-10, while the Falcons improve to 10-12
and 5-2 in conference play.
The Setters were limited to two hits on the day by Falcon
starter Dan Murphy, who tossed a complete game shutout, striking
out eight. Pace's hits came on fourth inning singles by
Brandon Martineson (Warwick, NY/Warwick Valley) (Warwick, NY/Warwick Valley)
and Mike Torello (Cheshire, CT/Cheshire) (Cheshire, CT/Cheshire).
For the Setters, Mackenzie King (Blairstown, NY/North
Warren Regional) tossed three innings, allowing five runs
(four earned) on seven hits, to drop to 0-4 on the year.
Michael Franza (Lynbrook, NY/Lynbrook) (Lynbrook, NY/Lynbrook) went three
innings, allowing one earned run on six hits, while Neil
Pezzullo (Harwich, MA/Harwich) pitched two scoreless
innings.
The Setters return to action on Sunday, March 28 when Pace will
host the Chargers of the University of New Haven in a Northeast-10
Conference game at Finnerty Field at 1 pm.
