Baronian, Miller, and Franco Secure Spot on CSC Academic All-District List

GREENWOOD, IN. - Pace Baseball's 2025 season was certainly one to remember as the year was highlighted by an impressive postseason run to claim the Northeast 10 Conference Championship alongside an NCAA East Regional appearance. The Setters made their mark not only athletically but also academically, as three student-athletes were recognized as College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District selections announced on Tuesday afternoon.

Chosen by the CSC, the 2025 Academic All-District Baseball teams recognize the highest-level of student-athletes for their combined performances on and off the field across all three NCAA Divisions and the NAIA.

The trio of Matthew Franco, Josh Miller, and Mason Baronian all received recognition on the Division II list, as they successfully maintained a cumulative grade point average (GPA) above 3.50 while performing throughout the spring months.

Franco produced a 3.93 GPA while majoring in Finance at the Lubin School of Business. A staple in the Setters' lineup, the Port Jefferson, N.Y. native racked up 18 RBIs, 42 hits, and a .251 batting average during his senior year. Highlighting his 2025 campaign was a clutch three-run walk-off home run in a 13-inning battle against Assumption University.

Miller, a business major from the Lubin School of Business, managed a 3.61 GPA in the spring. A consistent player on both sides of the field, the Clifton, N.J. native tallied 20 RBIs, 44 hits, and a .259 batting average. The most memorable moment from his season was his go-ahead three-run blast in the opening round of the NCAA East Regional against Felician University.

Baronian, the final representative from the Setters on the CSC Academic list, finished with a 3.60 GPA as a sports marketing major from the Lubin School of Business. The River Vale, N.J. native was a constant contributor at shortstop and in the batter's box throughout his four seasons. In 2025, he notched a team-high 35 RBIs, with 46 hits, and a .257 batting average while solidifying himself among some of the program's best performers, surpassing 200 hits as a member of the Blue and Gold.
