The Setters would explode for three runs in the fifth, taking advantage of a pair of Greyhounds error to take a 4-2 lead.

Assumption responded in their half of the fifth with a game-tying two-run homerun. The Setters would not be deterred as pinch runner Tiffany Ott (Broad Channel, NY/Archbishop Molloy) (Broad Channel, NY/Archbishop Molloy) would put Pace up by one, scoring on a sixth inning wild pitch. Pace would tack on a pair of insurance runs in the seventh as the Setters Christina Rescigno (Elmsford, NY/Good Counsel Academy) (Elmsford, NY/Good Counsel Academy) and Alicia Parlon (Norton, MA/Norton) (Norton, MA/Norton) kept the Greyhounds as bay to complete the sweep.

Rescigno (3-3) tossed six innings, allowing four runs on 10 hits, while striking out one. Parlon picked up her first save of the season, pitching a scoreless seventh inning.
