SETTERS CRUISE TO 73-54 WIN ON SENIOR NIGHT

PLEASANTVILLE, NY – The Pace University women's basketball team defeated Saint Anselm College, 73-54, in a Northeast-10 Conference match-up at the Goldstein Fitness Center on the Pleasantville campus of Pace University.  Pace improves to 21-6 overall and 16-6 in the Northeast-10 Conference.  Saint Anselm drops to 7-20 overall and 3-19 in NE-10 action.

Jesse Dlabola (Levittown, NY/Holy Trinity/Adelpi Univ.) (Levittown, N.Y./ Holy Trinity) led all Pace scorers with 16 points, six assists and seven steals.  Dlabola hit on 5-of-9 from the floor including 3-of-6 from 3-point range.  Dlabola, one of five seniors honored prior to the game, was the only Setter in double figures.  Andrea Padelsky (Lebanon, PA/Lebanon) (Lebanon, Penn./Lebanon) had nine points, five rebounds and three assists while Maria Brown (Frederick, MD/Frederick/UMBC) (Frederick, MD/Frederick) and Andrea Burch (Voorheesville, NY/Voorheesville) (Voorheesville, N.Y./Voorheesville) each chipped in eight points and five rebounds. 

Stephanie Klingele (Staten Island, NY/St. John Villa) (Staten Island, N.Y./ St. John Villa) and Ashley Wallace (Oswego, NY/Oswego) (Oswego, N.Y./Oswego) each dropped in nine points while Klingele also had six rebounds and four assists.  Hannah Sheppard (Norwich, CT/ Norwich Free Academy) finished with eight points and seven rebounds.

On the game, Pace out rebounded their opponent, 46-22.   The Setters also hit on 44.4% (28-63) from the floor including 33.3% (7-21) from 3-point range. Saint Anselm shot 41.5% (22-52) from the floor and just 21.4% (3-14) from long range. 

For Saint Anselm, Rachel Reilly (Londonberry, NH/ New Hampshire) had a game-high 17 points while hitting on 6-of-8 from the floor including 2-of-2 from 3-point range and 3-of-3 from the free throw line.  Meredith Amyot (Ashford, Conn./ E.O. Smith) had 13 points and four steals while Raenielle Decastro-Cain (Manchester, Conn./ Manchester) had 12 points.

Pace locked up the #4 seed in the upcoming Northeast-10 Conference Tournament.  The Setters receive a first round bye and will play the winner of the Bentley/Southern New Hampshire game on Tuesday, February 28, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. at the Goldstein Fitness Center on the Pleasantville campus of Pace University.
