INDIANAPOLIS, IN. – Pace University Women's Lacrosse earned the #2 seed in the East Region of the 2026 NCAA Division II Women's Lacrosse Championship and will host postseason action at Northwell Stadium, as announced during Sunday night's NCAA selection show.
The Setters enter the national tournament at 14-5 overall after reaching the Northeast 10 Conference Championship game and putting together an 8-1 record in conference play. Pace earned a first-round bye and will host the winner of #3 Mercy University and #6 Southern Connecticut State University (SCSU) in the second round on Saturday, May 9 at 1:00 p.m. in Pleasantville, N.Y.
Mercy and SCSU will meet in the opening round on Thursday, May 7 at 4:00 p.m. at Northwell Stadium, with the winner advancing to face the Blue and Gold. The NCAA Championship continues with second-round games on Saturday May 9, quarterfinals on Saturday, May 16, and the national semifinals and championship on May 21 and May 23 at Judson Stadium in Rochester, N.Y.
Pace enters the national tournament with one of the deepest groups in the East Region, highlighted by 12 All-NE10 selections.
Marissa Doty has led the midfield after earning NE10 Midfielder of the Year honors, while
Mackenzie Carita,
Annie Sheehan, and
Maddie Schubert have helped power a balanced offensive unit for the Setters.
Sasha Kulo has controlled possession with a program-record season on the draw, and the defensive group of
Colleen Gilligan,
Alyssa Wolf, and freshman goalkeeper
Camryn Smith has helped Pace remain one of the most complete teams in the region.
The Setters also carry postseason experience into the NCAA Championship after battling through one of the toughest schedules in Division II. Pace remained a fixture in the national rankings throughout the spring and now turns its attention to another opportunity on the national stage.
The East Region features three Northeast 10 Conference programs in the field, with Adelphi University earning the #1 seed, Pace taking the #2 seed, and Southern Connecticut earning the #6 seed.
The Blue and Gold will host the winner of #3 Mercy and #6 SCSU in the second round of the NCAA Division II Women's Lacrosse Championship on Saturday, May 9 at 1:00 p.m. at Northwell Stadium.
