Smith Earns Second NE10 Goalkeeper of the Week Honor

NORTH ATTLEBORO, MA. – Pace University Women's Lacrosse freshman Camryn Smith collected her second Northeast 10 Conference Goalkeeper of the Week honor of the season, announced Monday afternoon, marking the third weekly goalkeeper award earned by the Setters this spring.

The Crownsville, MD. native earned the recognition after helping Pace close the regular season with a 21-3 victory over Molloy University, making five saves while allowing just three goals for a .625 save percentage. Smith also added a ground ball as the Blue and Gold controlled the defensive end throughout the win.

The award adds to a strong freshman campaign for Smith, who has gone 10-0 in goal while posting a 5.74 goals-against average and 53 saves in 14 appearances. Her .453 save percentage has helped guide one of the nation's top defensive units.

Smith and the Setters also opened postseason play this past weekend with a 21-3 quarterfinal win over Southern New Hampshire to advance to the NE10 semifinals.

Next in store, the Setters return to action Wednesday at home versus #6 Bentley University in the NE10 Championship Semifinals, set for 6:00 p.m. at Northwell Stadium.
