NORTH ATTLEBORO, MA. – After putting together one of the top offensive weeks by a Setter this season, Pace University Baseball freshman
Anthony Depetro has earned his first career Northeast 10 (NE10) Conference Rookie of the Week honor.
The freshman was a consistent force in the lineup across five games, batting 10-for-17 (.588) with seven runs scored and nine RBIs. Depetro recorded a hit in every contest and finished the week with four multi-hit performances.
His biggest day came during Saturday's doubleheader against Southern Connecticut State University, where he combined for six hits, five runs scored, and five RBIs across the two games.
In the second game of the day, Depetro went 4-for-5 with three runs scored, three RBIs, and two doubles, helping fuel the Setters offense. Earlier in the day, he finished 2-for-2 with two runs scored and two RBIs, continuing his strong weekend at the plate.
The Staten Island, N.Y. native also drove in three runs during Friday's series opener, highlighting a week in which he consistently delivered in key moments for the Blue and Gold.
Deptro and the Setters jump back on the diamond tomorrow at 3:00 p.m. for a home NE10 meeting versus the Panthers of Adelphi University, as the end of the regular season sits just around the corner.
