Women’s Lacrosse Rolls Past American International at Home

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. –  On Saturday, Pace University Women's Lacrosse delivered a dominant performance from start to finish, defeating American International College, 23–2, at Northwell Stadium.The Blue and Gold controlled the game in every phase, using a fast start and balanced offensive attack to overwhelm their opponent and improve to 5–4 overall and 3–1 in the Northeast 10 Conference.

Pace wasted no time setting the tone in the opening quarter. Mary Kate Nawrocki opened the scoring just three minutes in before Lisa Heffernan, Lindsay Radmann, and Nawrocki again helped extend the lead to 4–0. After AIC got on the board, the Blue and Gold responded with a dominant closing stretch, as Lia Villari, Jamie Petrullo,

Nawrocki, and Marissa Doty all found the back of the net. Petrullo added another late goal as Pace surged to a commanding 9–1 lead after the first quarter.

The Blue and Gold continued to build separation in the second quarter. Petrullo opened the frame with another goal before Radmann and Julia Lisi extended the advantage to 12–1. Madison Wade, Doty, and Laura Luikart each capitalized during a strong stretch, pushing the lead to 15–1 at halftime.

Out of the break, Pace maintained its momentum. Jorja Tompuri scored early in the third quarter, followed by goals from Nawrocki, Madison Ibach, and Nawrocki again as the Blue and Gold extended the lead to 19–1 heading into the fourth.

In the final quarter, Pace continued to execute offensively. Nawrocki added another goal before Lisi and Wade found the back of the net. After AIC scored late, Villari closed out the scoring to secure the 23–2 victory.

Nawrocki led the offense with six goals and an assist, while Petrullo added three goals and an assist. Villari contributed two goals and three assists, and Wade and Lisi each recorded four points. Doty, Radmann, and Ibach also played key roles in a balanced attack that saw 11 different players score. Defensively, the Blue and Gold held AIC to just six shots while forcing 13 turnovers and controlling possession throughout.

Women's Lacrosse returns to action on Tuesday for a Morgan's Message game against Southern New Hampshire, with opening draw scheduled for 2:00 p.m. at Northwell Stadium.
