NORTH ATTLEBORO, MA. – After a strong defensive showing for the Setters, sophomore midfielder
Marissa Doty was recognized as the Women's Lacrosse Northeast 10 Conference Defensive Player of the Week on Monday afternoon.
Doty delivered a strong two-way performance across two contests, combining defensive disruption with offensive production. The sophomore totaled four goals, five ground balls, five caused turnovers, and eight draw controls during the week, helping Pace remain competitive in both match-ups.
In Pace's game against Tampa, Doty recorded two goals, two ground balls, four caused turnovers, and a draw control, consistently applying pressure and forcing turnovers that helped spark transition opportunities for the Blue and Gold.
She followed with another impactful outing in Pace's road win over Saint Anselm, scoring two goals while adding three ground balls, one caused turnover, and seven draw controls.
Her ability to control possession and generate defensive stops proved crucial throughout the week for the Setters.
