NORTH ATTLEBORO, MA. – Pace University Women's Lacrosse opened the 2026 season in dramatic fashion, and senior attacker
Maddie Schubert was at the center of it all. Schubert was named the Northeast 10 Conference Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday afternoon.
In Pace's season-opening 10-9 overtime victory over Dominican, Schubert delivered when it mattered most. She accounted for a game-high four points, netting three goals and one assist, and capped the afternoon with the decisive goal in overtime to seal the win in front of the home crowd.
Beyond her scoring touch, Schubert impacted the contest across the field. She secured two ground balls and forced a turnover, helping Pace control key possessions throughout the tightly contested match-up.
Her performance provided the spark the Blue and Gold needed to start the campaign 1–0 and set the tone for the season ahead.
