Mike Winn Named Deputy Director of Athletics

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Pace University Athletics has announced that Mike Winn has been named Deputy Director of Athletics. The appointment recognizes Winn's continued operational and financial leadership across the Department of Athletics. In his new role, he will serve as the departmental designee and second-in-command to Director of Athletics Mark Brown.

"Mike has been an important part of our department for over twenty years and his knowledge of our operations and financial management is a tremendous asset to Pace Athletics. He has earned the trust of our coaches and staff, and I look forward to continuing to work with him in this expanded leadership role," said Brown.

Winn previously served as Associate Athletic Director for Operations, overseeing the day-to-day internal operations of the department, including aquatics, equipment, facilities, game operations and sports medicine.

In addition to his administrative role, Winn has a long history with Pace Athletics as the former head coach of the women's soccer program. He founded the Pace Women's Soccer program in 1998 and led the team through part of 2007 before returning as head coach in 2010.

Winn retired from head coaching duties following the 2023 season after leading the Setters for a total of 22 years. During his tenure, Pace made 10 NE10 or ECAC postseason appearances, including a run to an NE10 Championship game appearance in 2016. In 2019, Winn and his wife Kerry established the Joe O'Donnell Endowed Fund for Pace Women's Soccer. The endowment was named in honor of Pace's former Director of Athletics who launched the program. Winn was also instrumental in bringing Men's Soccer back to Pace after a nearly 35-year hiatus.

Winn's new role was announced as part of several staff changes and expanded responsibilities across Pace University's Division of Student Affairs. The changes were designed to continue meeting important University needs while also providing opportunities for staff growth and advancement.

As Deputy Director of Athletics, Winn will continue to help oversee the operational and financial areas of Pace Athletics while assisting in the overall direction of the department.
