NORTH ATTLEBORO, MA. – Following an impressive opening week for the Pace University men's soccer program, two Setters have been recognized by the Northeast 10 Conference with weekly honors. Pietro Carvalho was named the NE10 Defensive Player of the Week, while Thiago Lugo earned NE10 Rookie of the Week.

Carvalho showcased his versatility on both sides of the ball in Pace's pair of victories. The freshman logged 162 total minutes across the two matches, anchoring a back line that limited opponents throughout the week. In addition to his defensive presence, Carvalho made his mark on the attack, registering one goal and one assist for three points. His two-way impact was a key factor in the Setters' first-week success.

Lugo wasted no time making an impression in Pace's first season back on the pitch in over 30 years. The freshman forward provided an offensive spark, totaling two goals and one assist for five points across the pair of victories. Lugo was efficient in front of the goal, recording five shots with four on target, and quickly established himself as one of the Setters' most dangerous attacking options.

The dual recognition highlights the momentum building around Pace men's soccer as the program begins a new era. This Wednesday at 7:00 p.m., the Blue and Gold return to the pitch for a meeting with the Griffins of Chestnut Hill College.
