HARTFORD, CT. – Pace University women's cross country jump-started its season at the University of Hartford Invitational on Saturday, rolling out a solid performance in the collegiate 3,000-meter race. As a unit, the Setters posted a 12th-place finish in a field of 14 women's teams.
In the season-opener, the Setters ran as a tight-knit group.
Raelle Gorman led the way, finishing in 13:53.5 (72nd place), with
Gianna Priore closely behind in 14:19.6 (77th). The rest of the squad followed with
Emma Voykhanskaya (15:37.2),
Jillian Evans (15:40.1),
Alexandra Harrison (15:48.5),
Inara Coles (16:36.2), and
Madison Picerno (17:42.0).
With the opening meeting in the books, the Setters now turn their attention to the Golden Eagle Invitational set for next Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in Greenvale, N.Y.
