PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – On Saturday afternoon, Pace Men's Soccer turned in a resilient effort, battling Saint Anselm College to a 0-0 draw at Northwell Stadium. Led by a season-high nine saves from goalkeeper
Khais Milligan, the Setters secured their third shutout of the year to move to 3-4-1 overall and 0-2-1 in Northeast-10 Conference play.
The first half featured strong chances on both ends, with
Adrian Izazaga and
Daniel Santos each forcing saves in the opening minutes.
Thomas Lyden and
Ervin Radoncic also tested the Hawks' defense before the break, while Milligan produced three key stops to keep the match level despite an 8-7 shot advantage for Saint Anselm.
In the second half, the Setters continued to create opportunities.
Lucas Esquivel's shot in the 53rd minute nearly opened the scoring, while Carvalho and Rodgers each delivered dangerous looks later in the frame. Milligan was at his best down the stretch, making six saves in the closing half to preserve the clean sheet.
The squad finished the day with 12 shots, including six on target.
The Setters will return to action on Wednesday, October 1, when they host No. 11 Felician University at 7:00 p.m., per the official Pace composite schedule.
