Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Six Different Scorers Lead Setters to Rout of Queens

On Tuesday evening, Pace University Women's Soccer delivered a statement win, rolling to a 7-0 victory over Queens College (N.Y.) at Northwell Stadium. The Setters, now sitting at 3-2 overall, showcased both offensive firepower and defensive dominance in their most complete effort of the season.

The Setters dominated possession in the early stages, with Allison Carr, Ava Viebrock, and Bailey Olson each testing the Knights' back line. The breakthrough came in the 22nd minute when Viebrock slid a ball into space for Carr, who calmly finished to make it 1-0. Pace continued to pressure for the remainder of the half, outshooting Queens 9-1, but entered the break holding a narrow advantage.

The match shifted decisively in the second half as Pace poured in six goals. Just two minutes after the restart, Andrea Flores doubled the lead with a confident strike in the 48th minute. Olson extended the margin to 3-0 in the 58th minute, converting on a pass from Alexis Lee.

Momentum continued to swing heavily in Pace's favor. At the hour mark, a Queens own goal pushed the lead to 4-0, and less than a minute later, Carr connected with Viebrock for the fifth tally. The scoring run continued in the 75th minute as sophomore Bindiya Wadhwani found the net, before Mia Ferreira capped the night with her first collegiate goal in the 88th minute.

While the attack flourished, the Setters were equally strong defensively. Anna Fiore anchored the back line with two saves en route to her second shutout of the season. Pace's defense, led by Milani Thompson, Elise Ferchweiler, Hannah Rautenstrauch, and Meredith Klosek, kept Queens in check throughout, limiting the visitors to just four shots in the entire contest.

Pace finished with a 20-4 advantage in shots, including 12 on goal. Seven goals marked the team's largest offensive output of the year, nearly tying the program record of eight goals set back in 2014.

The Setters continue Northeast 10 Conference play on Friday, September 26, traveling to Franklin Pierce University for a 7 p.m. kickoff in Rindge, N.H.
