GREENVALE, N.Y. – Competing in its second meet of the 2025 season, Pace University women's cross country recorded a sixth-place finish at the Golden Eagle Invitational on Saturday. The Setters, coming off their season opener at the Hartford Invitational a week ago, totaled 172 points to place sixth among 12 schools in the women's 5K race.
Senior
Raelle Gorman led Pace's effort with a 17th-place overall finish, clocking in at 22:23.50 for the 5K course.
Elle Mount was the Setters' second finisher, placing 40th with a time of 24:53.60, just ahead of freshman
Jillian Evans in 41st at 24:55.00.
Sophomores
Alexandra Harrison (25:34.10) and
Inara Coles (25:53.70) rounded out Pace's scoring five in 47th and 51st place, respectively. Junior
Madison Picerno (26:44.00) and senior
Kaylee Matsuda (26:44.40) crossed the line side-by-side in 55th and 56th, while sophomore
Nikki Chong capped the Setters' lineup with a 61st-place finish in 27:45.60.
The Blue and Gold return to action next Saturday (Sept. 20) at the Ted Owen Invitational in New Britain, Conn., hosted by Central Connecticut State University. The women's race is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. as Pace continues its fall campaign.
