MANSFIELD, MA. – Academic excellence continues to be a hallmark of Pace University Athletics, as the men's basketball and baseball programs were each honored with the prestigious Northeast 10 (NE10) Team Academic Excellence Award, announced on Wednesday. The award is presented annually to the team in each sport across the conference that achieves the highest cumulative grade point average (GPA) over the academic year.
Representing the Blue and Gold, both programs demonstrated a relentless commitment to success in the classroom, matching the same competitive drive they bring to the court and the field. Pace men's basketball led the entire NE10 with an impressive cumulative GPA of 3.403, while Pace baseball topped its sport with a 3.466 GPA.
Across the conference, the NE10 reported a cumulative GPA of 3.245 for the 2024-25 academic year, with all 11 member institutions boasting GPAs of 3.0 or higher. Furthermore, every one of Pace's varsity teams maintained a GPA of 3.0 or higher across the fall and spring semesters.
Pace University continues to raise the standard, showing that excellence in both athletics and academics isn't just possible, it's a defining part of what it means to be a Setter.
