WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – On Thursday, April 16, the Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association (MBWA) released its All-Met Division II Men's Teams, with Pace University Men's Basketball graduate forward
Jaden Kealey and senior guard
Jabari Nurse earning respective honors.
Kealey was named to the All-Met Second Team following another productive season in the frontcourt for the Setters. The Center Moriches, N.Y. native averaged 12.7 points and 7.4 rebounds per game while shooting an efficient .531 from the field across 27 starts. He totaled 344 points and 199 rebounds, leading the Blue and Gold on the glass while posting multiple double-digit rebounding performances throughout the year. Kealey's efforts also earned him a Northeast 10 Conference Player of the Week honor during the season, further highlighting his impact.
Nurse earned All-Met Honorable Mention recognition after a strong senior campaign. The Randolph, Mass. native averaged 12.5 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game, finishing with 338 total points. A key contributor on both ends, Nurse recorded 56 steals, helping him secure a spot on the NE10 All-Defensive Team, while continuing to provide timely scoring throughout the season.
As a team, the Setters secured a berth in the Northeast 10 Conference postseason tournament, making an appearance in the first round and continuing to compete among the league's top programs.
The 93rd MBWA All-Met Haggerty Awards Dinner is scheduled for Thursday, April 23 at the Sleepy Hollow Hotel & Conference Center in Tarrytown, N.Y., where First and Second Team selections will be honored.
