IWLCA Launches 2025 All-American Lists; Women’s Lacrosse Places Five

PLEASANTVILLE, NY – The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) released their 2025 All-American List with 48 student-athletes selected for the 2025 Division II All-American teams, divided into first, second, and third teams. These IWLCA All-Americans, representing 23 different institutions, are recognized as the top athletes in the sport this year.

Pace Women's Lacrosse features five student-athletes selected throughout first and third teams, each are first timers on the IWLCA All-American lists. Mackenzie Carita, Nikki Mottes, Annie Sheehan, Colleen Gilligan, and Sasha Kulo represent the Blue and Gold as Pace Women's Lacrosse 2025 IWLCA All-Americans.

Carita and Mottes led the team throughout the season in separate categories while both tallying career-milestones. Carita, IWLCA Second Team, sat first with 77 goals with 94 points this season with three game winners while reaching 100+ career goals and points. Mottes, IWLCA Third Team, set the record for points in a game with 11 versus Seton Hill (Pa.) on Mar. 1 and ended her collegiate career with over 100+ goals, 100+ assists, which she was one shy of tying the all-time career assist record with 122, and 200+ points. She led the team with 101 points this season.

Sheehan has been a stellar all-around player for the Setters this season and as a sophomore, she's reached Second Team All-American status. She ended with a career-best season with 40 goals, 22 assists, good for 62 points while controlling 33 draws, 32 ground balls, and 21 caused turnovers. Kulo joins Carita and Sheehan on the Second Team list when she also tallied a career best performance in draws this season after setting an in-game record with 20 versus Bentley (Apr. 19) and ended the year with 167.

Gilligan is granted Third Team All-American with Mottes as she is first on the team with 43 ground balls with 27 caused turnovers.

The Setters capped off their season with a 17-5 record and their third consecutive season to the NCAA tournament.
