WINGATE, N.C. – On Wednesday, the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association announced the Regional Pitchers of the Week, with Pace's Vincent Civitella receiving honors. Coming off his impressive run in the Northeast-10 (NE10) Conference Championship, Civitella was named East Region Pitcher of the Week after playing a key role in the Setters' NE10 Title.

The Clifton, N.J. native was impressive on the mound throughout two starts (11.0 IP), posting two wins and ten strikeouts to lead the Setters to their second conference championship in two years. In the week, Civitella allowed only 11 hits and four earned runs, to tally a 3.27 earned run average in the postseason.

After securing the win during Sunday's game, the senior southpaw was named to the All-Championship team representing the Blue and Gold on the NE10's biggest stage.

In addition to his impressive week, Civitella became Pace Baseball's All-Time Strikeout Leader as he surpassed the previous mark of 230 with his fifth strikeout in his championship performance.
