PLEASANTVILLE, NY - In the midst of postseason play, Pace Women's Lacrosse features 10 athletes on the Northeast-10 (NE10) All-Conference list which ties for the most in history; 2023 being the first time the Blue and Gold presents that tally.

Mackenzie Carita, Nikki Mottes, and Annie Sheehan are repeat honorees and improved in their designated teams from previous seasons while Colleen Gilligan, Gigi Genovese, Alyssa Wolf, Marissa Doty, Sarah Scheidel, Lisa Heffernan, and Laura Luikart are fresh on the All-Conference list.

First Team selections are Carita, Mottes, Sheehan and Gilligan. Carita currently sits first on the team with 65 goals this season while posting 15 helpers for a collective of 80 points, which is good for second on the team. Mottes is the player who wears the point crown where she tallies 86 on the year with 34 goals and 52 assists. The duo both reached career milestones throughout the season; Carita featured her 100th career point with a season-high this year with her stat of 80 and Mottes reached 100+ goals (111), 100+ (110) assists, and 200+ points (221).

Sheehan, who was on the All-Rookie team last season, secured first team honors with 34 goals and 21 assists for a career high of 55 points while also snagging 24 draw controls, 29 ground balls, and 19 caused turnovers. Gilligan posts her first NE10 All-Conference selection as a first team recipient with her efforts on the defensive end for the Blue and Gold; she currently records 23 caused turnovers, 38 ground balls, and 15 draw controls.

Genovese is having a stellar senior season with career bests for second team All-NE10 honors. The midfielder records 32 goals with 6 assists for 38 points and also forced 13 caused turnovers. Wolf joins Genovese with second team honors starting in all 18 games this season for the squad and recorded 24 caused turnovers, leads the team in that category, and 23 ground balls.

Doty and Scheidel represent Pace on the third team list for their first NE10 notions. Rookie, Doty, posts 26 goals and three assists for 29 points along with 31 draws, 21 ground balls and 11 caused turnovers. The Syracuse, NY native also is placed on the NE10 All-Rookie team. Scheidel has been a dominant presence on the defensive side while being tied for 23 caused turnovers with Gilligan and picked up 30 ground balls and 52 draw controls.

The All-Rookie team doesn't only feature Doty, but also includes Heffernan and Luikart. With 11 goals, four assists, and 15 points, Heffernan receives her first NE10 honors of her career along with Luikart who has made here comeback from injury last season with 21 goals, two of them being game winners.

Pace Women's Lacrosse will be continuing their postseason play on Wednesday, Apr. 30, at Northwell Stadium when they host Saint Anselm College at 6:00pm for the semifinal round of the NE10 Tournament.
