Benjamin Tullo, Pace baseball earned a commanding 14-4 victory over Molloy University on Tuesday afternoon. The Setters tallied a run in six different innings as 15 hits propelled Pace to their 20
th win of the 2025 season.
With Tuesday's action in the rear-view mirror, the Blue and Gold improve to 20-17 overall and remain 8-9 in the Northeast-10 (NE10) Conference.
Here's What Happened
- Tullo began his career day in the second inning with an RBI groundout to shortstop, making it 1-0 in favor of the home squad. The early lead lasted one inning, as the Lions produced four runs in the fourth to take a 4-1 lead into the bottom of the inning.
- The next three runs for the Setters came off home runs from Mason Baronian, Josh Miller, and Brayden Sweppenhiser as Pace managed to even up the score at four. A sacrifice fly from Matthew Franco gave the lead to the Setters as a 5-4 score moved into the sixth inning.
- After a one-run sixth for the Setters, the seventh inning put the game out of reach for Molloy. Led by a grand slam off the bat of Tullo, Pace took control of the contest, 11-4, in the bottom of the seventh.
- Three more runs crossed home plate before the end of Pace's rout against the Lions as the Setters earned a 14-4 win at Peter X. Finnerty Field.
