Danowski Scores Six in #8 Men's Lacrosse Victory at AIC

SPRINGFIELD, MA - #8 Pace Men's Lacrosse faced off with American International College (AIC) on Wednesday evening in Springfield, MA.

Will Danowski had a career outing with six goals to lead all scorers for the 17-8 Northeast-10 (NE10) Conference road victory.

Here's What Happened:
  • Pace jumped out in front with three swift goals thanks to the efforts of Matt Baldino, Preston Kral, and Trevor Lamoureux, 3-0. Soon after, AIC halted the scoring momentum of the squad and caged one of their own to end the opening quarter favoring the Blue and Gold, 3-1.
  • With the Setters finding the back of the net eight times throughout the second, the squad propelled themselves to a 11-3 advantage at the half. The second quarter of the night featured three of Danowski's goals, each in consecutive fashion, along with scoring points from Baldino, Nick Naccarato, Dennis Hodge-Boccanfuso, Jameson Howley, and Colin Reese.
  • Danowski's hot streak continued into the second half of play with a third stanza goal to kick off the frame, 12-3. The Blue and Gold rallied four more throughout to enter the fourth quarter in front, 16-5.
  • AIC caged three to end the night to display their best scoring performance of the night, but their comeback efforts fell short and the Setters secured the 17-8 victory.
Box Score Insights:
  • Danowski ended the night with six goals and Baldino, Reese, Hodge-Boccanfuso, and Kral posting two.
  • Ryan Mimnaugh led the team defensively with two caused turnovers and Hodge-Boccanfuso went 17-19 in face offs with 11 ground balls.
  • Caden Hallinan recorded two assists along with Baldino who ended the night with four points total.
  • Jack Kern posted the win in goal with five saves.
