Kulo Presents Career Performance in #9 Setters Win Over #20 Falcons

PLEASANTVILLE, NY - #9 Women's Lacrosse hosted #20 Bentley University Saturday morning for their Pace Goes Pink event at Northwell Stadium.

Sasha Kulo put up a career performance and a new record for the Women's Lacrosse program with 20 draws while the Blue and Gold tallied the 20-9 Northeast-10 (NE10) victory.

Here's What Happened:
  • The Setters were on the board first with back-to-back goals, 2-0, thanks to the efforts of Gigi Genovese and Laura Luikart. Annie Sheehan would follow in similar fashion with consecutive points to increase the Blue and Gold's lead to 4-0.
  • Bentley would halt the scoring run of the hosts to slash the lead to two, 4-2, but Nikki Mottes found the back of the net for the 5-2 advantage after one quarter.
  • With the Setters recording four goals compared to the Falcons one in the second, the Blue and Gold entered intermission out in front, 9-3.
  • Bentley featured their best offensive outing of the day in the third when they found the back of the net four times, but the Setters continued to edge the squad and caged five, 14-7.
  • By the final stanza, Pace ended the contest with a three goal rally from Sheehan, Genovese, and Mary Kate Nawrocki for the 20-9 victory over Bentley.
