MANSFIELD, MA. –
Tray Alexander, Northeast-10 (NE10) and East Region men's basketball Player of the Year, was announced as a Second Team Academic All-American on Tuesday afternoon. Released by the College Sports Communicators (CSC), two men's basketball players from the NE10 received Academic All-American honors with Alexander among those recognized.
Boasting a 3.54 undergraduate grade point average (GPA) and 4.0 graduate GPA in Data Science, Alexander has showcased his ability to balance his work on and off the court at Pace University.
The Freeport, N.Y. native adds to his already impressive array of hardware, as he led the Setters to its first NE10 Championship final in program history, ranking second among Division II players in assists (8.7) and steals (2.9) per game.
Three of the 15 members of the Academic All-America Division II men's basketball teams posted a perfect 4.0 GPA in their undergraduate work or graduate school. The members of all teams hold a collective average undergraduate GPA of 3.81.
