EAST STROUDSBURG, PA. – In a doubleheader against No. 14 East Stroudsburg University (ESU), Pace softball dropped both games, losing game one, 8-1, and game two, 6-2.
With another road doubleheader in the books, the Setters ride a 4-2 record into their trip to the West Coast.
Game One
- The Warriors tallied two runs in the opening inning to snag an early lead over the Setters. Pace lead-off the third with a single from Sophie Valle, but a double play two batters later shut down the rally.
- After ESU posted a run in the bottom of the third, the Blue and Gold answered back with a long ball off the bat of Alexa Borino. Heading into the fifth, the Setters trailed 3-1.
- The Warriors went on to produce four runs in the fifth, led by back-to-back home runs, making the score 7-1 moving into the sixth.
- The four-run output in the fifth was enough to fend off the Setters, 8-1, in game one.
Game Two
- In game two, neither team crossed the plate in the opening three innings as Priscilla Del Toro helped keep ESU quiet in the circle.
- Opening up the fourth inning, Brianna Shea lit a spark for the Setters' offense by driving a home run over the fence. Later on in the inning, Pace struck again behind two singles from Madison Picerno and Kaylee Matsuda.
- Heading into the bottom of the fourth, the Blue and Gold had a 2-0 advantage.
- The Warriors responded with six runs of their own, and the rest of the way, both sides managed to limit opportunities, leading to a 6-2 loss for Pace.

- Willa Poplawski led the team with four hits in the twin-bill match-up.
