WEST HAVEN, CT. – Led by
Ryan Degnan's complete-game shutout, Pace baseball secured the series-clinching victory over the University of New Haven, 1-0, on Sunday afternoon. - Degnan was the focal point of the victory as he took control of the mound against the Chargers. The junior pitcher kicked off his day with a 1-2-3 first inning, fanning one batter on strikes.

By the game's end, the Franklin Square, N.Y. native had churned out the best performance of his collegiate career, holding New Haven to a mere five hits and no runs. Degnan dominated the opposition in an 111-pitch effort, registering four strikeouts throughout his nine-inning complete game, 1-0, shutout win.
