SPRINGFIELD, MA - #8 Pace Women's Lacrosse traveled down to Springfield, MA for a Northeast-10 (NE10) Conference match up with the American international College Yellowjackets Saturday night.
The Blue and Gold Trio of
Maddie Schubert,
Mackenzie Carita, and
Annie Sheehan caged three goals apiece in the toppling 22-4 victory over the Yellowjackets. Outside of scoring,
Sasha Kulo recorded 15 draw controls for a career high.
Here's What Happened:
- With a man-up opportunity in the first minute of the night, Gigi Genovese put the Blue and Gold on the board first followed by Sheehan with her first of the contest, 2-0. The Yellowjackets tallied their own soon after to trail by one, 2-1, and that would be the last they cage compared to the Setters eight for a 9-1 Pace lead.
- Schubert put up two more goals in consecutive fashion to start the second quarter, and Cartia kept piling on, 12-1, to enter halftime in front 13-2.
- The third quarter featured goals from Katie Long, Alyssa Dvorznak (2), Abigail O'Connor (2), and Kulo to hold a commanding lead over the host with one stanza remaining.
- Despite the fourth being the lowest scoring outing of the night for the Blue and Gold with three, Pace ran away with a 22-4 victory to remain perfect in NE10 play (3-0).
