PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – In their second in-conference match-up of the 2025 season, Pace baseball fell short against Adelphi University, 7-3. With Saturday's final, the Setters take a 5-8 overall record into game three of the series as they return to Garden City, N.Y. tomorrow for a 1:00 p.m. contest with the Panthers.

• The Panthers earned the first run of the day in the opening inning, taking advantage of a rundown situation from Pace. Falling behind 1-0, the Blue and Gold answered back in the second inning with a long ball to left field off the bat of Andrew Heppner.
• A tie score moved into the third, but it would not last long as Adelphi tallied five runs in the top of the inning to capture a commanding 6-1 lead.
• Both offenses remained quiet until a two-run inning from the Setters in the eighth. The late charge fell short as game two of the series went to the Panthers, 7-3.
