Alexander Scores 22 as No. 14 Setters Fall to Bentley

WALTHAM, MA. – On Wednesday, No. 14 Pace men's basketball fell for the fourth time in the 2024-25 season, dropping their in-conference match-up to Bentley University, 76-71. A team-high 22 points from Tray Alexander was not enough for the Setters as they fall to 19-4 overall, and 11-4 in the Northeast-10 (NE10).

Here's What Happened
  • Offense favored the Falcons early on, capturing a 21-12 lead highlighted by a 9-2 run. Their advantage would not last long as Pace utilized an 11-2 run to even the score at 23 halfway through the opening half.
  • Both sides exchanged buckets the rest of the half, with Alexander making a last-second jumper to help draw the game closer, 38-37.
  • Neither team pulled away in the second half and the game moved under the four-minute mark with Pace behind, 62-61. The Falcons managed to outscore the Setters 9-4 in the next two minutes giving them the slight edge, 71-65.
  • Time was not on Pace's side, forcing Bentley to the free throw line in an effort to inch their way back into the contest. Despite the late endeavors, the Setters ultimately fell to Bentley on the road, 76-71.
