PLEASANTVILLE, NY – Pace Women's Basketball is on their homestretch of their regular season schedule as they hosted Adelphi University Wednesday evening.
Tower Lorde dominated the hardwood with a career-high scoring performance of 28 points in the 61-45 victory while also grabbing eight rebounds and tallying two steals and two assists.
Here's What Happened:
- Pace's 14-9 lead after the first quarter was aided by Tower Lorde's 10 points while being backed by Ciara Collins with four. The Panthers equalized the score at nine, but as soon as Lorde went 2-2 from the charity stripe, the Blue and Gold maintained their advantage into the second quarter.
- A 10-3 Setter run enabled a 24-12 lead for the hosts and Victoria Dieguez extended the score on a trey to end the first half with an 18-point advantage, 33-15.
- In the third quarter, the Blue and Gold pulled away from their opponents when they wrapped up the quarter up 51-29.
- Pace's damage has been done during the beginning of the final stanza. Collins kept the offensive momentum with a pull up jumper, 53-29, and Lorde went to the line once again to sink a pair, 55-29. By the end of the night, the Setters secured the 61-45 Northeast-10 (NE10) victory.

- Lorde's career-high led the Setters in the night and she shot 55% (6-11) from the field and 84% (16-19) from the free throw line.
- Collins was second on the team with 11-points with a team high of nine rebounds.
